CINE, another project from ITP by James Tunick, Miro Kirov and Houston Riley, is an immersive multi-user interface for exploring 3-dimensional virtual space with gestures. Navigation in the virtual space is controlled through a 6 axis ‘crystal ball’ as a stream of photos uploaded by mobile phones are manipulated and applied into the virtual urban environment through the embedded infrared sensors on the screen.
